The Sustainable Buildings Partnership Program (SBPP) is a Corporate Services program that helps to identify and implement environmental improvements to existing City infrastructure such as office, recreational, industrial, maintenance, storage and special-purpose buildings, as well as parking lots and even roadways. The SBPP works collaboratively with different business units in order to plan and deliver a diverse array of projects, including pilot programs and new technologies.

Examples of project types delivered by the SBPP include energy audits, energy conservation measures, alternative energy use, material reuse, water conservation measures and waste assessments. Many of the projects delivered through this program are publicly accessible areas and buildings such as recreation leisure centres and arenas.
Projects accepted for the SBPP are chosen for their environmental benefits both now and in future. This program brings new low-risk technology and approaches to existing City infrastructure to reduce operating costs, reduce environmental impacts, and provide high quality.
