311 Calgary App
On May 7, 2013, The City of Calgary launched the 311 Calgary App. The addition of the mobile application to 311 services gives citizens another choice to connect with The City.
Using the 311 Calgary App to submit a service request is fast and easy. With the App, citizens have the option to attach a photo to their request and use their smartphones’ GPS function to allow the App to detect their location. If citizens are reporting an issue from a different location, they can tap and drag the pin to the right location. The auto generated service request (SR) also allows citizens to track the status of their request.
The 311 Calgary App contributes to the transformation of government at all levels. With this App, citizens and City employees can work together in keeping Calgary at its best. This partnership allows City employees to assess, prioritize and efficiently respond to citizens’ requests.
